Some good news and a GIVEAWAY

Great News. The CPSIA has put a stay on the legislation for 1 year. That means I don't have to stress out about it for another year!!! So I will still make bows! It also means you don't have to stress about it for a year as well. For more info visit here

Also about a week ago I was contacted by upscale baby asking me about the CPSIA legislation and how it is going to affect me so they did an article about me. To visit it see here. I feel pretty special about being featured. Since I am so excited about these two things I am going to do another giveaway. Ya!!!! I will be giving away the same thing as lst time, two valentine korker bows. See previous post. Heres how to enter 1- leave a comment telling me how your DD got her name. 2- Have a friend leave comment telling me that you refered them to me. and 3- leave a comment telling me what your favorite bow is. I will randomly pick a winner on Friday Feb 6th. So start moving.
Just to clarify you can leave two seperate comments answering 1&3 and as many of your friends put your name in their comment your name can be entered. Lets have some fun!

  7. My daughter got her name after 6 full months of searching, everything I liked my husband would say thing like "it sounds like it is some kind of German horn" So we settled on Makaylie May(may for my grandma) thought we made it up but not even 2 months after she was born I heard of her name 4 more times.

  13. Liz, I referred to all my best friends by the way!! I'm so glad that you can keep selling your bows!! You amaze me WOMAN! You are such an inspirtaion to me SERIOUSLY!

Anyway, Mayley got her name because I like different names that not everyone has. Also, there was a good friend of mine with her name in High School who was a really cute girl. But she spelled it Meili, So that's how she got her name.

My favorite bows are your corker and your rose bows. Yeah like everyone else said! :)

  18. My older daughter, Evelyn, I don't know...just when we found I was preggies, that's the name that popped into my head, even before we knew she was a girl. I knew from the begining that she was an Evelyn. (And her birthday is the 6th...big THREE!)

Elizabeth was just a name both hubby and I loved from the start. And each girl's middle name is the middle name of one of her grandmothers. (Evelyn Ann for my mother, Karen Ann, Elizabeth Kay for hubby's mom, Jana Kay.)

Evelyn wants the korker bows, she thinks they're cool!

I heard about this from Remember Me in Ribbons and Curls.

  22. My DD Berea Ann (Bur-A-ah) was named as soon as we knew we were going to have a baby by my husband, when he was about 18 he was standing in line at a 7-Eleven and the cashier asked the girl in front of him how she pronounced her name...he loved it and decided if he ever had a little girl that would be her name--it was up to me to decide how to spell it and pick a middle name, Ann, a family name...I didn't like my daughters name and did not call her by her name until she was 10 days old--she stopped breathing and we had to call 911 (had 4 ambulances, Flight for Life and all of the volunteers--we were living on a rural ranch at the time) from then on I've always loved her name and it fits her perfectly!

  24. My husband and I were up late at night and I thought of Alyssa Danielle. I asked him what he thought and he told me "That sounds about right". And that's it.

I was referred by Babes in Hairland.

I love any bows, except for brown ones, they blend into Alyssa's hair too well.

  25. How fun!! My oldest dd is Michaela Ann. She was named after my dad whose name is Michael, and her middle name is my mom's middle name. So she was named after my parents. My 2nd dd is Baylie Dawn. My dh and I both really liked the name Baylie and Dawn is my middle name. My 4 week old baby is Ava Lynn. I read the name Ava in a magazine and dh and I both thought it was so pretty. Lynn is after my mil. So, if I win the bows would get lots of use with my 3 dd's!! I love the rose bows the best. Thanks!!

  28. You didn't specify wether each daughter could be a seperate post, so I hope this is ok. My second daughter was given a Bible name Bethany Marie with her middle name being a Spanish form of Mary. We thought it was cute and so is my daughter.

  30. My sweet Kjari (pronounced like Car then ee not Cair ee), got her name because my husband insists that we use all Norwiegen names, you should hear my boys! Anyway, this was his sisters middle name, and I truly love it, but better yet it is is truly the only Norwiegen girl name that I would have even considered!! :)

  31. Very cute! I love these!

My 1st daughter is named Maryn (pronounced like Marin County). Kind of funny how we ended up with that one. I had heard it once before and liked it. It was one of the first names I suggested, but my husband said he didn't like it, so I kind of put it out of my mind. We couldn't agree on anything throughout the entire pregnancy, and it was getting close to my due date. One day my hubby said, "What do you think about the name 'Maryn'?" (like it was his idea :).) tee hee
Anyway, when our second daughter was born, we had a hard time deciding again. We really like unique names. I was watching the movie "The Four Feathers" one time, and the girl in there is named Ethne. It just kind of struck a chord, and my hubby liked it, too. We found out the name comes from Celtic Mythology, and it is actually Enya's real name, but she has a gaelic spelling (Aethne), and nobody would have known how to pronounce it.

  34. My oldest daughter is named after my aunt, who I am also named after. My aunt died in her early 20s from a brain tumor and 11 years to the day after she died, I was born. I have been told all my life how much I am like her and how special it is to carry her name as my middle name. So as soon as I had a dughter of my own, I knew what name she would get to carry on.
My second daughter's name is not a usual name and I dreamt about my daughter with her name. After she was born and I named her, my husband's great aunt told me that the name I gave my daughter is actually a family name from 5 generations back.

  42. Wow Liz! That article really helped you get some traffic, that's great, and just what you need. I heard the name Grayson for a girl after watching TLC's "A Baby Story" The name slowly grew on us and then we decided to spell it differently and use it!

I love your korker and rose bows as well as some of the original bow shapes with the double ribbons. They are all super cute and creative.

Does that count as both comments or was I supposed to leave them separately like others have?
